Privacy Policy

E-Ticket Trivia has no accounts, no sign-ups and no advertising trackers. This page explains the small amount of information the game does handle, in plain language. Last updated: October 30, 2026.

What we collect

• Guest names. The display name you type is used in your room and, if you play solo and post a score, on the public leaderboard next to that score. Don't use your real name if you'd rather not see it there.
• Scores. Solo leaderboard entries store the guest name, score, category, difficulty and date. Multiplayer room state (names, scores, answers in progress) exists only while the room is alive and is discarded when the room closes.
• On your device only: your personal bests, language choice, narrator on/off setting and last-used name are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data deletes them.

What we don't collect

• No email addresses, passwords, phone numbers or payment information — the game never asks for them.
• No accounts or cross-site tracking profiles, and no sale of personal data to anyone, ever.
• No precise location data.

The voice narrator

When narration is on, the text of a trivia question (and its four answer options) is sent to our text-to-speech provider to generate the audio you hear. Only the question text is sent — never your name, scores or device information — and generated audio is cached on our server so repeat questions don't need to be re-generated.

Hosting & logs

The game is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for security and reliability. Rate limits on the narrator endpoint use IP addresses transiently to prevent abuse; they are not used to build profiles.

Children

The game is a general-audience trivia game with no accounts and no chat. Because leaderboard names are public, younger players should use a nickname rather than a real name.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will be noted on the home page.
